Hello Westfield families!
Middle School Virtual Honors Day Program 2020

While we are disappointed that we cannot recognize our Middle School students in person on campus for their hard work and academic achievements, we are happy to honor them in a special virtual program. We are extremely proud of ALL of our Middle School students! Watch for virtual programs for grades 9 - 12 on Monday, May 11, 2020.
Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! We are sad that we cannot be on campus to recognize and celebrate, so we hope you will join with us in a virtual celebration to honor our wonderful Westfield teachers! Please comment tag us #westfieldteachersarewonderful in your social media posts! We can’t wait to share your comments and posts with our fabulous faculty! #weloveourteachers #westfieldteachersarewonderful
We are super excited to share our Westfield Shelter-in-Place Showcase! Sixty-six Lower School students participated in this year's showcase (formerly known as Westfield Idol), under the direction of art teacher Mrs. Karen Ray and music teachers Mrs. Lauren Mann and Ms. Lea Fountain, also known as our Shiny Happy Teachers! Thank you to all for not only making this year's show possible under quarantine circumstances, but also making it such a huge success. Be sure to click here or on the image above to watch all four videos, and give these students and teachers a BIG round of applause! #shelterinplaceshowcase #shinyhappyteachers #hornetsathome
Today’s throwback is a salute to Westfield Soccer, a relatively new addition to Westfield athletics. In the early 2000s, soccer’s popularity in rural Georgia began to grow rapidly. Recognizing the interest in the sport among our students, former trustee and past parent Lee Minor and his wife, Cheryl, began championing the need for a soccer program at Westfield. In late 2006, the GISA officially organized a Spring Soccer program, and Westfield decided to jump on board. Once they were given the thumbs up, Minor and other volunteers went to work soliciting funds and quickly raised $19,000 in just a few short weeks. Now equipped with the necessary funds and tools in place, Westfield soccer started its first season in the spring of 2007. Thiago Aleixo coached the first boys’ team, while Minor assisted, and Michelle Smith, who would continue to coach for numerous years, led the girls. Our current boys’ team is coached by Don Caulley, and the girls’ team is coached by Kayla Mangrum and Liana Walton. We are proud to continue to offer new sports and opportunities for all our students and look forward to cheering on our Hornets again very soon. #throwbackthursday #westfieldscoccer #50yearsofwestfield
