Greetings!
We have so much great news to share in this week's issue of the Westfield Weekly. Don't forget...Tonight is our Green, Gold, & Sold Virtual Auction AND a Westfield "No Homework" Family Night to give families a break on homework and studying for quizzes and tests to be able to enjoy time together and bid on auction items! It's great to be a Westfield Hornet! #wearewestfield
Today is the day!
Join us tonight on Facebook Live at 7pm for the Green, Gold, & Sold! 50th Anniversary Online Auction Event. We will highlight our big ticket items and draw the prize winners. Don't forget to check in during the livestream by commenting your name and student's grades (Example: Laura Medlin, Pre-K). Those that check in will be entered to win $500 and the grade with the most parent participation will win a sno-cone party. All bidding will take place via the auction website, not on Facebook. Bidding closes at 10pm tonight.
After studying rationing during World War II, fifth graders in Mrs. Donna Kelham’s social studies classes researched recipes from ration cookbooks...and enjoyed a tasting! #handsonlearning #studyinghistory #educationofmindandheart
Sixth graders in Ms. Dana Griffin’s STEM class tested their Viking longships to see if they could float and if they were airtight. Afterwards, they enjoyed a “Medieval Feast”! #STEMeducation #handsonlearning #westfieldmiddleschool #educationofmindandheart
Pre K students in Mrs. Rashelle Benton’s class are learning the letter “K” and having show and tell today. A classmate brought in King crowns for everyone! #westfieldprek
Seventh graders in Mrs. Stephanie Black’s Survey of the Bible classes have been studying the book of Acts, particularly the formation of the early church and how members of the early church worshipped together. The students divided into groups to develop their own church service and order of worship based on the early church. One group even created a name for their church - The Compass - to help people find “the way” to Christ. We are thankful for the opportunity to share the Gospel at our school and encourage spiritual growth with our students. #educationofmindandheart
Upper School music students are busy filming their performances for virtual competition in the GISA AAA state literary meet. #stateliterary #westfieldfinearts
Thank you to Carlos Molina, youth pastoral intern at Perry Presbyterian Church, for sharing the Gospel with our MIddle and Upper School students this week, encouraging them to be followers of Christ. #educationofmindandheart #virtualassembly #wednesdaywisdom
Congratulations to our Lady Hornets!

Congratulations to our varsity girls basketball team and coaches Mason Nelson and Ken Fowler on an outstanding season, finishing as 2021 GISA AAA state runners up! With a 20-4 overall record, the Lady Hornets were led by a group of talented seniors, claimed the 2021 GISA 4AAA Region Championship, and advanced all the way to the state finals. They played a great game but fell short to a tough Southland Lady Raiders team. We are Westfield proud!! #westfieldbasketball
Congratulations to these seniors who have been selected for the GISA AAA All Star basketball teams: Avery Adams, Sadie Hayes, Ellie Williams, Emma Williams, and Walker Young! They have been a tremendous part of our basketball program. We are Westfield proud! #westfieldbasketball #GISAAllStars
