Hello Westfield families!
Thank you for the overwhelming support and generosity you have shown in helping our Hornets help those who have been affected by Hurricane Michael. Your outpouring of kindness is a wonderful way to instill the value of helping others among our students.

Our students are busy in the classroom, in the community, on the field, and on the stage. Our Lady Hornets softball team is heading to the final four and will play Saturday in Dublin. Be sure to attend our competition One Act Play's school performances next week on October 25 and 26th. It's great to be a Westfield Hornet!
Tomorrow is the Deadline!
Help Westfield Earn $$$

Westfield is participating again in the Box Tops for Education program -- an easy way for our school to earn cash! During the 2017-18 school year, Westfield received over $1,100 from Box Tops for Education. Please place your student's box tops in a plastic baggie or envelope with his/her name and teacher's name and send them in to your student's homeroom teacher by October 19th. The classroom collecting the most box tops by October 19th will receive a reward party sponsored by the WFO! #westfieldfamilyorganization #boxtopsforeducation
No tricks, just treats! This Halloween, treat yourself to a winning opportunity for our school by applying for your 2019 GOAL tax credit. GOAL provides a wonderful opportunity for you to support Westfield, while receiving a dollar for dollar state tax credit. You’re already paying taxes why not redirect it to benefit Westfield? To apply or learn more about GOAL, visit  https://www.goalscholarship.org/  or contact Laura Medlin in the Development Office.
Please invite a family whom you know may be interested in a Westfield education for their children to our Admissions Open House on Sunday, October 21st at 3 p.m. in the Recital Hall (Arts & Sciences building). This is a great time for interested families to discover Westfield and see the difference!

Westfield is currently accepting admissions applications for the new students for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. If you have children whom you are considering enrolling as new Westfield students for 2018-2019, we strongly recommend that you begin the online admission application process as soon as possible by clicking here .
Creating Colorful Flames in Chemistry

Students in Mr. Jarrod Lewis’ chemistry classes are creating colorful flames today as part of their lab experiment, using absorption and the emission spectra to identify elements and electron configuration. Did you know that the color or spectrum observed is the set of wavelengths emitted by that specific element?  #westfieldscienc e #handsonlearning  #readyforcollegereadyforlife
