Congratulations to This Week’s Winner

Congratulations to our latest Bay Treasure Chest winner: Tina Hubley from Stillwater Lake!

Tina is taking home $11,518 with her registered number 19377—and she’s still shocked! She’s been playing her weekly toonie at Sobeys in Tantallon for years and, like many of us, never truly expected her number to come up.

So when the call came today, Tina was more than a little surprised. In fact, she laughed and said she’s “never won anything more than $5 playing bingo!” This win definitely feels a whole lot sweeter.

Beyond the excitement, Tina shared that she genuinely enjoys playing because she loves supporting the many community partners across the Bay area. Her weekly toonie helps make a difference—and today, it made her a big winner too!

Congratulations, Tina! And thank you for supporting Bay Treasure Chest and our community.

Good luck in next week's draw

and thank you for your support!

Spotlight on Honorarium Group

St. Margaret’s Bay Housing Coalition

Have your say about housing needs

 in St. Margaret’s Bay

The St. Margaret’s Bay Housing Coalition is currently gathering information about housing needs and views from the area’s residents through a short survey. You can find the survey here.

The group wants your input. But time is short: the survey deadline is Monday, March 2.

While the Housing Coalition is hoping especially to hear from adults aged 20 to 45, all residents and would-be residents of the St. Margaret’s Bay area are welcome to complete the survey, which is anonymous. No identifying details, including email addresses, are being collected.

The current survey is part of ongoing work the organization is doing to understand the range of housing needs for this area.

The St. Margaret's Bay Housing Coalition is working with other community members and organizations to help address the lack of housing diversity in our area, with an emphasis on affordable, accessible, and sustainable solutions for all. Follow the organization on Facebook.

Note: The survey question “What type of housing would you consider in St. Margaret’s Bay?” says respondents may choose all that apply. In fact, that question allows you to make only one choice, so please select the type of housing you would most prefer.

The Bay Toy Library Shares the Love

 With a Valentine’s Donation

This February, the community received a heart‑warming boost thanks to a generous act from The Toy Library. In honour of Valentine’s Day, the Toy Library donated $500 to the St. Margaret’s Bay Food Bank, helping support local families in meaningful ways.

Their contribution reflects a commitment to spreading kindness and strengthening the community during a time focused on love and connection. The Toy Library’s thoughtful gesture is a wonderful reminder of how small organizations can make a big impact through compassion and generosity.
