Winter Car Seat Travel Tips

When traveling by car this winter, keep your child warm and safe with tips from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The general rule it to not dress children in bulky clothing or snowsuits when they ride in their car seat. In a car crash, the extra padding in the garments will compress, leaving extra space in the harness and inadequate protection. What can parents do? Click to see tips .

To make sure your child's car seat is properly installed, the Chester County Highway Safety Project and Safe Kids Chester County offer free car seat inspection stations throughout the year. Check the updated schedule with this link, and make an appointment today.
SAFE SLEEP ABC's

The National Institutes of Health and other partners created the Safe to Sleep campaign, which goes beyond sleep environments to reduce risks for babies. Click here for more information and to see what a safe sleep space looks like.
