March 3, 2022
Dear friends,
As March enters like the proverbial lion here in Maine, The BTS Center staff, along with a cohort of our friends and colleagues, has just finished the third of four trainings we are undertaking in the Adaptive Mind. Led by Dr. Susanne Moser and Lily Swanbrow Becker, we are examining the ways in which we meet the climate crisis, collectively and individually, and we are continuing to imagine how the work of The BTS Center will grow and change in deep and meaningful ways.
The weather here is oscillating between winter, with more snow due for us this weekend, and the longer, brighter days of spring. In these liminal moments, just as in our lives, we can find it difficult to find grounding and balance. Yet what the Adaptive Mind is reminding us, and what our work is continually calling us into, is the reality that we find support and strength in community. Our gifts are so much stronger together.
With that in mind, we have so many rich offerings for you this spring, from a day-long online Refugia Faith Lenten Retreat to our eight-week EcoSpiritual Leaders course to an in-person, farm-based Wonder and Wander. We hope that, as essential members of our community, you will join us for one or more of these offerings!
With best wishes,
