A Message from the Executive Director: With Gratitude for Our Community

Dear Friends of Suited for Change,

As we step into a new year, we want to pause and say thank you.

To those who have stood with Suited for Change for many years—and to those who joined our community more recently—your support in 2025 made a meaningful difference. Because of you, we served more than 1,100 women across the Washington, DC region, providing professional attire, career coaching, and workforce readiness support that helps women move forward with confidence and dignity.

During a year marked by economic uncertainty and change, your belief in our mission ensured that women could prepare for interviews, re-enter the workforce, and take important steps toward economic independence. Whether you have supported Suited for Change for decades or are just beginning your journey with us, you helped us do more than meet a moment—you helped us keep confidence alive.

As we look ahead into 2026, the need for our services continues to grow, as does our responsibility to serve women with care, responsiveness, and long-term stability. The progress ahead will be built on the foundation you helped create—and sustained by the community that continues to believe in what’s possible.

Suited for Change In the Community - Connecting Beyond the Boutique

This season, Suited for Change is taking our mission beyond the boutique, tabling across the district to meet women where they are and building new connections to opportunity by tabling at hiring events, engaging with workforce partners, and connecting directly with jobseekers.

From programs at the World Bank, Goodwill, Jubilee Jobs to multiple DC government agencies, these touchpoints help us share our mission, build partnerships, and ensure more women know they’re not alone on their professional journey

Volunteer Spotlight: Amy Andrus - Care That Speaks For Itself

When you meet Amy Andrus, you’ll immediately understand why she’s a gift to Suited for Change! She brings patience, thoughtfulness, and care into every client interaction and our overall team experience. A volunteer since August 2022, Amy wears many hats at SFC.

Donor Spotlight: A Night to Remember at NMWA Nights

Community and creativity came together at NMWA Nights to empower women. Suited for Change was honored to be hosted by the National Museum of Women in the Arts, who partnered with us through a clothing donation drive and welcomed our team to share our mission.

Partner Highlight: Styling & Support for Goodwill Excel Center

We recently had the privilege of welcoming students from the Goodwill Excel Center to the Suited for Change boutique as they prepared for their College & Career Expo and graduation. Our team provided styling and one-on-one career coaching to help students envision and prepare for their next steps with confidence.
