2025 NOVEMBER ISSUE

The College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation and School Specialty announced the completion of a makeover of North Dade Middle School’s media center, which marks the 100th learning space transformed in collaboration with the Extra Yard Makeover initiative. As a part of their joint nationwide effort to enhance learning environments for students and educators alike, the two organizations have now invested more than $5 million into reinvigorating classrooms across the country.

This year’s host city is Miami, where the CFP National Championship will take place in January. Together, the CFP Foundation and School Specialty will back over 30 Extra Yard Makeovers, refurbishing innovation spaces across schools in Miami, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. With this latest round of makeovers, the CFP Foundation will have helped enrich learning environments in every middle school in the Miami-Dade district.

Teachers change lives every day, and the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation’s partnership with Eckrich ensures their dedication is recognized. Through nearly a decade of collaboration, Eckrich has invested more than $3 million in programs that elevate educators in their classrooms, in their communities and on college football’s biggest stage.

Find out how this partnership is creating meaningful moments for educators nationwide.

The College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation’s partnership with the Cheez-It brand continues to make a powerful impact on classrooms nationwide through the Extra Yard for Teachers initiative. Now in its third year, the collaboration is helping thousands of teachers access the resources they need to create engaging, student-centered learning environments.

This ongoing partnership began in 2023 and has continued to grow each year to recognize teachers across the country who have their students “Feelin’ The Cheeziest” both in and out of the classroom. In its first year, former college football student-athletes surprised their former teachers with classroom grants and personal visits, both in-person and virtual, to express their gratitude for the impact they made beyond the field.

The College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation has once again teamed up with ESPN to support education through college football, investing over $4 million in school resources and access to sports since 2014. Throughout the bowl season, ESPN will donate $1,000 for every touchdown scored in support of teachers and coaches who are leading health, sports, and fitness projects. The Touchdown for Teachers initiative builds upon the millions already invested in educational resources through the CFP Foundation’s grant program with the Bowl Season organization.

The College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation would like to thank each of its supporters who continue to make a difference for teachers across the nation.

The support of every conference, every bowl game, and the individual efforts put forth by student-athletes and schools are all so valuable and important. The CFP Foundation’s corporate partners’ generosity is paramount to its mission. We simply could not do it without you!

Together, our collective impact has led to generating $92 million in support of education, with 650,000 teachers supported, 81,000 schools benefited, and 13 million students reached.

As this 2025 regular season comes down the stretch, with important bowl games and CFP match-ups ahead, our unified efforts to make a difference for teachers continue. We look forward to impacting more educators, culminating with the 2026 CFP National Championship in Miami.

Thank you for all that you do to support teachers!
