As we welcome the New Year, we at Mission Africa are grateful for the incredible impact we've achieved in 2025. Your support continues to drive our efforts and uplift the lives of those we serve locally and around the globe. We look forward to having the best year yet!

In the first quarter of 2025, as our Board of Directors prepared for the year ahead, our African Community Leaders Luncheon brought together nonprofit and business leaders from across Africa to collaborate, share insights, and strengthen community services in Washington State.


We also continued our partnership with the Renton Regional Community Foundation and Valley Harvest International Market to provide grocery vouchers for immigrant and refugee families.

Overseas, we also launched our newest cohort of 50 scholarship students at Azaraegbelu Secondary School in Emekuku, Owerri North, Imo State.

In the second quarter of 2025, Mission Africa carried out a medical mission in Nigeria, providing screenings, lab tests, eyeglasses, and essential prescriptions to remote villages, honoring volunteers, and awarding Post-COVID Economic Recovery microloans.

Back in Washington, we continued expanding opportunity through Youth-in-Tech with a LEGO Robotics workshop. and,


We also hosted a Workforce Pathways to Public Health Careers workshop for BIPOC youth and adults focused on public health careers, trauma, and mental wellness.

In the summer of 2025, Mission Africa celebrated the culmination of an incredible three-year Digital Navigation program that brought essential tech skills to immigrants, refugees, seniors, youth, and working parents.

We also hosted our 2025 Back-to-School Community Event & Health Fair, providing 350+ backpacks filled with school supplies through community partners and offering families free health resources, including mental health support, dental screenings, and colon cancer education.

In September, we joined the City of Auburn’s 3rd Annual Multicultural Holiday Festival, celebrating culture, unity, and joy through African textiles, artifacts, fashion, dance, and drum performances.

As we closed out the year, our Annual Fundraiser Luncheon raised $125,000 to fuel our mission.

Smiles at Christmas brought together 188 volunteers to help us serve 486 families and 1,107 children, distributing 1,107 coats and 2,214 toys and bringing warmth, dignity, and joy to hundreds of homes.


We’re grateful you’ve been part of every step this year. As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to build on this momentum and continue serving more families, strengthening communities, and expanding opportunity locally and globally—together.
