GREETINGS
As a reminder, there is no school on Friday, April 10th. KIPP at Home remote learning will resume Monday, April 13th, which is a change from the original school calendar distributed in the Fall. We hope everyone is able to use this extended weekend to rest and renew, and we look forward to connecting next week!

UPDATES
NATIONAL ASSISTANT PRINCIPALS WEEK
These are the faces of our KIPP Jacksonville assistant school leaders! This week, we honor and recognize their contributions to the success of our KIPPsters in our schools. This work would not be possible without their leadership. We may not be able to currently give them physical hugs and high fives of appreciation, but be sure to send them some love virtually - whether it's through text, social media, Class Dojo, or email.
ALUMNI FUND
The KIPP Foundation has established an emergency fund to help KIPP regions provide direct support to alumni who are facing a challenge that could keep them from persisting in college or meeting their basic needs as a result of COVID-19. Our KIPP Through College team has provided nearly $3,000 in emergency funding to KIPP Jacksonville alumni, addressing immediate needs related to food insecurity, transportation, lost wages, and accessing materials needed for classes that have shifted online. If you would like more information about this fund or the impact of COVID-19 on our alumni enrolled in college, please reach out to Dr. Almond at ealmond@kippjax.org .
MINDFUL MOMENT
Since our return from spring break, many unforeseen and rapid changes have occurred in response to COVID-19. Our staff and families have been working hard to plan and make accommodations accordingly, which tends to call for a second to sit down and breathe. This week, KIPP Jacksonville Elementary Drama Teacher, Ms. Wilson, shared a video walking us through how to take a mindful moment. If you need a minute to center yourself, you can watch her video here .
MESSAGES TO KIPPSTERS
It has now been more than a month since KIPP Jacksonville students were together on campus. To help kick off the week, the KIPP Impact Middle School team shared some words of encouragement to KIPPsters:
  • KIPPsters, you are amazing
  • Don't give up
  • We will persevere
  • We love you
GRATITUDE
In case you missed it, KIPP Co-Founder Dave Levin shared a video message with the entire KIPP network across the country, expressing his gratitude during this time. Together, we are stronger. One Team. One Family.
