Announcing the "Together We Can" Fund!

For most students, the fall means new school supplies, field trip permission slips, and perhaps some athletic or extracurricular activities starting up. 

Imagine if you were a student whose family could not easily afford to buy a new backpack, or write a check for the cost of a field trip - how would it feel to worry about missing out on an experience with all your classmates or not being able to join a school club?

In the past, PCEF has provided small grants to these students in need.  This year we are teaming up with PASD to create the “ Together We Can ” Fund.  This fund is designed to help our PASD students with financial need participate fully in the opportunities available through their schools.  

The “Together We Can” Fund will support several PCEF programs including:

  • Activities Access grants – small grants to students who cannot afford field trip fees, instrument rentals, or other costs associated with PASD activities
  • School Lunch Assistance Fund – to help pay the lunch balances of students with financial need
  • Pack a Backpack –provides backpacks and school supplies to students in need in all PASD schools
  • Phantom Food Packs –provides a weekend backpack of nutritious food for our youngest students (K though 2nd grade) who often go hungry

One of the great things about Phoenixville is our sense of community – your donation, no matter the amount, can have an impact right here in our town.

$10 - provides a week's worth of snacks for all students in need at one elementary school $25 - defrays the cost of several field trips
