Let's Stay Connected
John Muir Health Front Line Employees are grateful for the outpouring of support and community adherence to the shelter-in-place ordinance.
We hope this edition of Let's Stay Connected finds you safe and healthy and maybe even working on projects or enjoying hobbies at home that you previously didn't have time for.

Thank you, for staying home! There has never been a more important time for all of us to practice physical distancing . Our best chance to prevent our health care heroes from being overwhelmed is to stay home and remain physically separated.

However, it is also critical that we remain socially connected during what may be the most difficult time in some of our lives.

But, being at home and perhaps even alone, doesn't mean we can't make a difference, together!
"Alone we can do so little;
together we can do so much"
—Helen Keller
Helen Keller wrote poignantly about the power of teamwork, collaboration, and the power of "many" in her quote, "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." She likely never imagined how powerful and inspiring those words become during a time like we are facing today.

John Muir Health is experiencing the power of "many."

You've likely seen the stories on the news and on social media about the outpouring of supply donations to John Muir Health. Community members and business owners are providing meals to our front line clinicians and donating personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gowns and goggles.

One community member has created a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for the purchase of additional PPE should the surge in census be higher than anticipated. We are humbled by his foresight and dedication to community. If you have the opportunity, click on his page , read about his inspiration, and share it with your family and friends.

Together, we can make a difference!
Thank you for all you do to make our community a better place!

Sincerely,

Your Friends at the John Muir Health Foundation
