Year‑End Giving:

Growing the Future with Soulful Seeds

As we close out 2025, Soulful Seeds is reflecting on the impact we’ve made together—providing fresh food, cultivating community, and creating opportunities for neighbors across Washoe County. None of this would be possible without the generosity of supporters like you.

Year‑end giving is especially important for Soulful Seeds. Your contributions help us sustain operations through winter months, prepare gardens for spring planting, and expand initiatives that strengthen food security and community resilience during peak growing season. Every gift, no matter the size, directly supports our mission to grow connection and resiliency through neighborhood gardens.

With your support, we can enter 2026 ready to deepen our impact and continue building a healthier, more connected community. Thank you for considering Soulful Seeds in your year‑end giving plans.

Update from the Garden - November

As 2025 winds down, November stood out as a month of hard work and meaningful impact in our gardens. Even with colder weather settling in, our community came together to prepare for winter, share fresh food, and expand opportunities for neighbors.

  • #GivingTuesday Success: Our November campaign was a great success thanks to generous donations. Every gift strengthens our mission to grow resilient neighborhoods through gardening.

  • Volunteer Power: More than 116 hours were contributed in November, with volunteers winterizing beds, clearing growing areas, and smashing pumpkins for our compost piles.

  • Fresh Food Distribution: Despite the chill, we delivered over 400 pounds of local produce to the community, ensuring families had access to healthy food.

  • Sharing Knowledge: November also brought opportunities to showcase our regenerative practices, welcoming visitors and fostering education around sustainable gardening education.

  • Work & Pay Program: Expanded sessions provided over 60 hours hours of paid work days, giving participants additional earned income.

November’s efforts highlight the strength of our community and the dedication of those who give their time, energy, and resources. Together, we’re closing out the year with momentum and planting seeds for an even stronger 2026.
