Imperialism always rehearses the same lie: that violence is “necessary,” theft is “security,” and its vision has more value than a people’s sovereignty. From Nigeria to Iran to Venezuela, the script never changes—only the names do.
International law is unambiguous: no state has the right to invade, abduct leaders, or terrorize a nation into submission. Military force against another country’s political independence is illegal. What’s happening in Venezuela is not diplomacy—it’s colonial greed preposterously positioned as care, and a reckless distraction from the mounting crises this administration refuses to reckon with at home.
So we say this plainly and together: Them days is gone. The era of colonizing theft is over. Our communities remember and our movements will bind, organize, and resist.
