Summer Camp Wrap-Up & A Warm Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!

As summer camp comes to a close, we’re excited to welcome our families and supporters to the start of the 2025–2026 school year! But before we dive into the new season, we want to take one last moment to reflect on the fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences that made this summer so special.

From exciting field trips and hands-on STEM activities to community events and outdoor adventures, our Club members had a summer full of growth, joy, and discovery. Thank you for being part of it, and for continuing to support our mission as we head into another impactful school year!

Member of the Month.

We’re excited to recognize Colton from Shawsville Middle School as our Member of the Month! Colton is a long-standing member who has demonstrated incredible growth. What makes Colton even more special is the pure joy he brings to the Club each day. Whether he’s cracking jokes or spontaneously breaking into song (which happens a lot!), Colton’s energy is contagious.

From Our Director's Heart to Our Club's Future.

We sincerely thank Altha Grove Baptist Church for their generous donation from the Tim Johnson Fund.

This gift is especially meaningful to us, as it was made possible through our very own Director of Operations, Mike Cherry, who also serves as a reverend at the church. Mike’s strong connection to both our Club and his congregation is a powerful reminder of how community comes together to support the next generation.

Thank you, Altha Grove Baptist Church and the Tim Johnson Fund, for investing in our kids and helping us build a great future for our youth.

On August 12, we celebrated International Youth Day, a global day dedicated to empowering and celebrating young people. Every day at our Clubs is a celebration of youth, as we work to provide a place where they can thrive, grow, and build the skills they need to become great leaders and citizens.

On August 17, we celebrated National Nonprofit Day! This was a wonderful opportunity to recognize the tireless work nonprofit organizations do in our community. We are honored to work alongside so many dedicated people and groups who are all striving to make our area a better place for everyone.

A Back-to-School Drive for the Win!

Getting ready for a new school year can be a challenge for many families, but thanks to the wonderful team at the Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS®, our Club members are set up for success!

Roanoke Valley Association of REALTORS® hosted an incredible school supply drive and delivered a huge haul of backpacks, notebooks, pens, and so much more to our Clubs. Their efforts ensure our kids have the tools they need to feel confident and ready to learn this year.

Thank you for making a real difference and helping our members start the school year off on the right foot!
