Local Chapters' Events and APF's Celebration in Israel
Kudos to APF members for hosting two successful events in 2018: Dr. Frederick and Yaffa Lukash of Great Neck, NY, hosted a gathering of friends and colleagues; and board member David Barone and his wife, Tzilla, hosted an evening with Professor Lior Gepstein from the Rambam Medical Center and the Technion Israel Institute of Technology, at their home in Sharon, MA.

In October, the Michigan Chapter held its 8th annual meeting. Dr. Robert Fogelberg and Dr. Ora Hirsche Psecovitz of Oakland University, and Dr. Jack D. Sobel, Dean of the Wayne State School of Medicine, spoke to members and guests about the vital connection between Israel and Michigan in the areas of medicine and beyond.

In November, APF celebrated 68 years of partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Health and the IDF Medical Corps on the IDC campus in Herzliya. This event served as a reunion for former APF fellows, supporters and friends.
