In Parondobulawan, I had the opportunity to teach a new class focused on the importance of studying God’s Word daily and consistently. We explored five powerful ways God’s Word accomplishes His purposes, along with seven life-changing goals that come from reading, meditating on, and obeying Scripture. The teaching stirred the hearts of the participants, motivating them to deepen their personal relationship with God through regular study of His Word.
In the ongoing Pelita Kasih class, we have now reached Book #9, the Church History Survey. Participants are encouraged to thoughtfully examine each historical era of the Church to identify positive developments that can be applied today, as well as past failures that must be avoided. The class is growing in both knowledge and discernment as they connect the lessons of history with the present-day Church.
On Badak Street, I’ve been teaching a class on the Gospels of Matthew through Luke. The participants expressed how blessed they were to learn the historical and cultural backgrounds of each Gospel. Understanding the intended audience helped them grasp why certain phrases and emphases appear in each text. Many shared that this new perspective made the Bible much easier to understand and more personal.
At Maron’s Café, I led a class on how to observe the text of God’s Word by focusing on four key elements: Words, Structure, Atmosphere, and Letter Form. One participant, Rona, testified that these tools have been extremely helpful for her. She now feels more equipped to interpret Scripture accurately and understand what the text is truly saying. It’s a joy to see believers growing in confidence and clarity as they study the Bible for themselves.
