Making an Impact Across the Province | | | | |
By connecting educators, industry, and community partners, we are extending learning beyond the classroom and fostering informed, engaged learners.
In 2025, more than 401,000 agricultural learning experiences were delivered to 115,510 students and youth across the province.
Each experience helps deepen understanding of where food comes from and the role agriculture plays in everyday life.
Together, we are making a meaningful and measurable impact!

Growing Curiosity at
Garden Experience
We had another successful year at Prairieland’s Garden Experience, a fun and educational field trip for Grade 3 students, where they participate in a variety of learning stations.
This spring experience gives hundreds of students the opportunity to get their hands dirty while learning about gardens in an engaging, hands-on way.
Stations included Good Bugs – Bad Bugs, Compost Coaches, Amazing Plants, and Seed Balls.

Building Agricultural Literacy with Future Educators
AITC-SK delivered presentations to pre-service teachers at the U of R, U of S (ITEP), and SUNTEP, highlighting the value of agricultural literacy in education.
Sessions explored how agriculture connects to everyday life, the environment, and the economy, while introducing curriculum-aligned resources, and classroom programming.
By engaging future educators before they enter schools, we help build early confidence in bringing agriculture into classroom learning, along with sharing ongoing support through workshops and partnerships.

AITC-SK will host the Teacher Agriculture Expedition this August in southeast Saskatchewan, bringing 20 teachers on a three-day, immersive tour to learn firsthand about agriculture and food production in Saskatchewan.
This experience equips educators with real-world knowledge and classroom-ready tools they can share with students for years to come.
We are seeking partners and sponsors to support this initiative! To learn how your organization can help take the Expedition experience to a new level for teachers, please contact Leah at Leah@aitc.sk.ca.
