Spring Lake Does its Job
Otter Cafe submerged at Spring Lake
When you're enjoying a walk around Spring Lake, it's easy to forget that the park's primary purpose is flood control. Last week's storm was a stunning reminder that this favorite park was designed to divert runoff from Spring and Santa Rosa creeks. The storm water was so high it nearly topped the concession building, pictured above. Thanks for your patience as the water receded and we cleaned up and reopened.

Run Annadel to Help Build Trails at Taylor
Annadel Half Marathon at Spring Lake
Are you up for a friendly footrace? The organizers of next month's Annadel 5k are once again donating registration proceeds to our trail-building campaign at Taylor Mountain Regional Park. The April 6 run kicks off right after the Annadel Half Marathon and follows an easier route from Spring Lake Regional Park into Trione-Annadel State Park and back.
