What Seeds are You Planting

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

~Galatians 6:7

The truth! We reap what we sow! This is as true in spring planting of flowers and seeds, as it is in our life with others or our life in God. If we plant seeds of acceptance and kindness, we will receive a harvest of the same. If we sow seeds of discontent, anger, bitterness, we cannot expect a harvest of kindness and understanding.

This is both a law of nature, and a law of God and human relationships. It has been said that God’s laws are like a rock: we cannot break those rocks, but we can break ourselves against those rocks.

God’s laws prove to be true in all our relationships, with God, with others and even with ourselves. If we sow love with love, we will know love. It will be affection from others, love from God, and even a better feeling of being worthy of love. That is our harvest.

The truth is that we find the love of God through loving others. It is neither from us nor from God, but from the act of love on our part. When we love, we can feel and understand love, and so receive love. And we can know how to love because God first loved us.

It is an unbelievable gift and blessing when you say yes to God.
