Parent Pre-Evaluation Overview
Welcome to the 2021 Spring 2 Season of Alodia’s Tomball Competitive Basketball League (TCBL)! We are thrilled to have you participate and look forward to a great season!

We want to assure you that we are doing all we can to keep our families and yours safe and healthy and to help slow the spread of COVID. All of the many precautions we are taking are to ensure your player not only has fun but stays healthy. Below is a link to our COVID Guidelines as of today. Please help us come together safely and let the children do what they do best - play!

EVALUATIONS

Tuesday, April 20th at 5:45 pm, check-in time: 5:15 pm

Salem Community Center, 22601 Lutheran Church Rd, Tomball, TX 77377
Please use Entrance A for parking and enter through the Community Center atrium. NOTE: all season practices, skills training and half of the games will be held at Salem Community Center.

Grades 3-8. Everyone must attend evaluations if at all possible!
*see below for exception

At check in, players will receive a number to pin on their backs and play a few minutes of 2-on-2 basketball. This allows the coaches to evaluate their skill level before the draft takes place following evaluations (for coaches only).
  • Please wear basketball shoes to evaluations.
  • Do NOT bring basketballs, backpacks, or bags please. Only closed bottled drink if desired.
  • Players temperatures will be taken at check-in. Masks are encouraged for players except when playing.
  • At this time, masks are encouraged for all parents/guardians.
  • Players are free to go home after they are evaluated.

*If an emergency comes up and you’re not able to attend, you MUST email tcbl@alodiaconsulting.com, subject line ‘TCBL Evaluation Info’, with the following information as soon as possible (no later than Sunday, April 18th). Players cannot be drafted on a team unless a self-assessment is sent!

  3. Previous Playing Experience
  4. All Star Nomination in previous seasons?
  5. Assessment of Skills –scoring, rebounding, ball handling


COACH INFORMATION

3 - 4 Grade Division – need 1 coach. Thank you Coach Kallies, Oelze, and McMahon for volunteering!

5 - 6 Grade Division – need 1 coach. Thank you Coach Cardon and Coach Choi for volunteering!

7 - 8 Grade Division – need 0 coaches. Thank you Coach Seabrook, Biles, Griswold, Chenier and Nester for volunteering! 
 

CARPOOL REQUESTS
We can no longer guarantee carpool requests for 1st or 2nd round draft picks due to the negative effect on the competitiveness of the league. If both players are in the first 3 rounds, we will work to have practice on the same night but play for a different team. Thank you for your understanding so that the league can continue to deliver a quality experience for everyone.


ROSTERS, TEAM & PRACTICE INFORMATION
You will hear from your coach no later than Sunday evening, April 25th regarding what team you are on and when practices will be. NOTE: all practices will be held at Salem Community Center.

Rosters with team names and practice times will be updated on the SportsEngine app by 5 pm on Sunday, April 25th. A Post-Evaluation email will be sent by Friday, April 23rd with additional information on the app and other season information.

Please bring sanitized basketballs to your team practices. Basketball Size: grades 3-6 play with a 28.5 size basketball, and grades 7-8 play with a 29.5 basketball.


SKILLS TRAINING
For those signed up for skills training in addition to the league, the first skills training will start Monday, April 26th at 6:00-7:00 pm at Salem Community Center and continue every Monday through May 24th.
NOTE: Team practices will NOT be held on Mondays from 6:00-7:00 pm.


GAME SCHEDULES
Game schedules will be posted on the website by 10 pm, Tuesday, April 27th.

Games for grades 3-8 will be played at Salem Community Center or Hildebrandt Intermediate School. This season is a combined season with Woodlands/Klein Youth League. REMINDER: all practices will be at Salem.

All games are on Saturdays:
Regular season schedule includes 4 doubleheader weekends.
First game: Saturday, May 1st
Additional regular season league game dates: May 8, 15, 22

Single elimination playoff tournament: May 28-29
 

UNIFORMS
Jerseys will be distributed 30 minutes before the 1st game. Each player will receive a reversible jersey with colored print. Home teams wear the lighter color and visitors wear dark color each week.
