In April 1970, an oxygen tank exploded aboard Apollo 13, crippling the spacecraft and putting three astronauts’ lives in peril. 

Among the team that worked around the clock to bring them safely home was Y's Man George Kalan. 

He first revealed his behind-the-scenes role during a Y’s Men hike earlier this year, astonishing fellow hikers.

At their urging, and after weeks of research to ensure accuracy, Kalan now shares this remarkable, exclusive to Y’s Men, first-hand account at tomorrow morning's regular Y's Men Meeting.

Y's Men Thursday morning meetings are in Hoskins Hall downstairs in the Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East in Westport. Coffee, donut, and bagel social hour begins at 9:00 am, business meeting at 10:00 am, speaker at 10:30 am. Come early and meet your fellow members. Guests are always welcome.
