Greetings!

Two weeks into 2026, we hope you have started to find your groove.

We have two (2) amazing events this month: Tomorrow, we kick off the year by hearing from Indio City Manager Bryan Montgomery during lunch at Agua Caliente Resort/Casino/Spa, Rancho Mirage. The city is busy making downtown Coachella Valley a destination, building new government public facilities, College of the Desert expansions, and the recent ground-breaking on a north-end energy substation. There is limited seating. Please get your reservations in before noon Today!

The second event is the Board of Directors’ Installation Dinner, January 30th. This promises to be a momentous event at Agua Caliente Resort/Casino/Spa, Rancho Mirage, upstairs in the exclusive Sunset Room. Swearing in of existing directors, committing to two more years on the Board, and new directors being sworn in for the first time. We are also hosting a Local fun event after dinner service, and presentations you do not want to miss.

We will soon send out information and reservation opportunities for our February luncheon featuring the City of La Quinta, with City Manager Jon McMillen, sharing about development and public infrastructure activities, current and upcoming. This event is scheduled for February 25 at the Embassy Suites downtown La Quinta.

We are partnering/collaborating with “GPS Business Insider” on prominent issues for our membership in the Coachella Valley. Check out this weekly publication: Greater Palm Springs Business News

Vickie Murguia, our Administrative Assistant is scheduling a Committees Meeting. This will be a meeting to introduce interested members to the return of our first four committees and councils. You, as interested members, will have a say in the direction of each of these committees. At this meeting, we will provide brief parameters of what is expected of each. You will have a say in which committee or council you wish to participate in. So as not to overwhelm any one member, no one will be on more than two (councils or committees, excluding the Board of Directors, may be a third).

Below are the four committees or councils the Desert Valleys Builders Association would like you to consider and lead to pursue your goals for the DVBA and your business.

Best wishes,

We will be adding a Member of the Month to “Spotlight” to our weekly DVBA Newsletter! This is your chance to showcase your journey, highlight your business, and share the passion behind what you do. What we will need are two or three high-quality photos and a short write-up about your business, your mission, and what makes your company unique.

Selected businesses will be featured in front of our engaged community for one month, giving your company more industry exposure and helping you connect with new customers.
