REMINDER | Last Day for Drive Thru Pickup

Superstition Mountain Owners,

We have had two busy, successful days distrbuting the new gate access devices. The process has gone very smoothly with a decal distributed every two minutes.

We encourage those who haven't yet picked up their access devices to stop by tomorrow. Average wait times have been 10 minutes or less.

Tomorrow is the last day we currently have planned for the drive thru style distribution, so take advantage while you can.

See below for the additional details and the information from the prior email blast.

Who:

  • Gate access tags are intended for owner vehicles.
  • Available to all owners with their vehicles on property next week, and utilizing the GateAccess app or website.
  • Each property has been allotted two Gate Access devices (RFID tags) at no charge.

What:

  • The Gate Access device (RFID tag) is a small sticker that will be adhered to your passenger-side headlamp during the distribution process.
  • The RFID tag will allow for automated access in the right entry lane.

When:

  • 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Wednesday, November 13 through Friday, November 15.

Where:

  • At the Carriage House, just inside the main gate on the right-hand side.

How:

  • To be able to service as many owners as possible, we are utilizing a drive-thru style distribution.
  • Please do not park your vehicle unless directed by staff, as this will disrupt the flow of traffic.
  • As this process is first come, first served, please be patient if there are multiple vehicles ahead of you in line. We anticipate the line moving swiftly, but ask you to assist by ensuring you are not blocking the entrances to any villages or traffic flow on SMD.

When you arrive, a staff member will confirm the following information, so having it handy will expedite the process for all involved:

  • Name and property address
  • Preferred phone number
  • Preferred email address
  • Make, model, and license plate of your vehicle

As that data is getting entered into the ABDi/ Gate Access system, another staff member will assign an RFID tag and adhere it to your headlamp.

We understand many of you are anxious to get these devices installed - so are we! In combination with the GateAccess app you have been using since August, it will significantly enhance the security and efficiency of the community and entry gate.

Please read the FAQs below if you have additional questions, or utilize the website which has additional ABDi resources, tips, and tricks.

FAQs

If I am not in Gold Canyon, do I contact the office to get my RFID tags?

Yes, but not next week. We are hoping to distribute roughly 50% of the devices next week during this initial rollout. This will make it manageable for our small team.

When you return with your vehicle, stop in the office and we will be able to issue the RFID tag, just like we have done with decals in the past. Note that due to meeting schedules, projects and other association business, it is always best to call ahead or schedule an appointment in advance.

If I have two vehicles do I need to drive both vehicles down to get the RFID tags?

Yes, but the second tag will be quicker as we will have already confirmed contact info, name and address.

If I want more than two tags, are they available for purchase?

  • Staff can issue a maximum of four RFID tags per property address.
  • However, tags are intended for the vehicles of owners only, not extended family and friends.
  • Additional tags are $20 each and can be paid by Card or Tap to Pay.

Is there anything I need to know about how I utilize the right lane?

Yes, concurrent with this distribution, the gate team will be instructed to NOT flip the switch when a car is approaching.

  • Gate staff will wait for the system to lift the barrier arm. If it does not, they will look for one of the old decals before manually triggering the barrier arm.
  • The barrier arm will lift for one vehicle at a time, and lower after that vehicle enters.
  • The next vehicle will then approach and proceed once the barrier arm lifts for its entry.

Why do I need to be utilizing the GateAccess App to get my RFID tags?

  • The tags are associated and programmed to your Gate Access account.
  • Your vehicle information will become visible in the app once we distribute the tags, so you will know how many active devices you have and for which vehicles.

Why does staff have to install the devices?

  • The changes in gate access have been made deliberately to increase the security and efficiency of the community.
  • By having staff install the devices we ensure they are placed correctly and avoid costly replacements due to misapplication.
  • Ensures RFID tags, and fast access into the community, are being appropriately distributed to owners within the community.

I used to pick up my decals at the Golf Club. Is that still an option?

  • No, the Owner's Association office is the only place to attain your RFID tags.

If I don't want the devices, can I continue to use my existing decal?

  • For the time being the gate staff will be looking for decals and manually opening the gate. However, at a date in the future, this will not be the case an all access through the right lane will be RFID only.
  • That date will be communicated once we have full occupancy and have provided sufficient time and opportunity for all owners to obtain their devices.
