Keynote Speaker and Panelists Announced for Tomorrow's Launch Event

MeHI is pleased to announce that Sarah Stanton, Undersecretary of Economic Strategies for the Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED), will deliver the keynote address at our launch event for the Women's Health Challenge. Undersecretary Stanton oversees new growth initiatives and works closely with quasi-government agencies, including the MassTech Collaborative.


Join us tomorrow, September 26th from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Great Hall at the Massachusetts State House as we kick off the application period for MeHI’s Digital Health Sandbox Challenge: Innovation to Support Women+ Health. Lunch will be provided.

 

The event will also feature a panel discussion on "How Digital Health Can Improve Maternal Health Outcomes." Moderated by Senator Cindy Friedman, the discussion will feature the following panelists:


  • Dr. Hafsatou Diop, Director of the Division of Maternal and Child Health Research and Analysis at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health,
  • Andrea Ippolito, CEO & Founder of SimpliFed, and
  • Karen Tseng, Senior Advisor for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services.


The event will also host a showcase of the leading R&D hubs from across Massachusetts, allowing you to network and connect with the members of the Massachusetts Digital Health Sandbox Network as they demonstrate their capabilities and resources. Startups that have participated in past Digital Health Sandbox Programs will also display their interactive solutions.

Launches New Webpages

MeHI recently launched a new section of its website, featuring the Mass Digital Health Sandbox Program. Highlights include the new Sandbox Capabilities page and a refreshed Sandbox Network page. Innovations in Caregiving: The Healthy Aging Challenge (9/7)

MeHI recently hosted a webinar entitled Innovations in Caregiving: The Healthy Aging Challenge. At the webinar, four winners of MeHI’s Healthy Aging Sandbox Challenge provided detailed information on how their technologies are assisting older adults and those who care for them. Presenters Heather Nickerson (Artifcts) Thomas Fu (Enabled Health), John Wall (MiiCare) and Kim Petty (Onward Health) also participated in a panel discussion moderated by MassTech/MeHI’s Elisabeth Renczkowski. These innovators discussed trends in caregiver support, how caregivers can have a voice in the policy agenda, as well as tips for other startups in the aging and caregiving space.

M2D2 IMPACT Cycle 6

Accelerator Pitch-Off

Join the Massachusetts life sciences community as the startups from the Cycle 6 Cohort pitch their medical device solution to a panel of judges.
