Save Transit Reminder - 12/14/2020

Don't forget! Join APTA members, our partners, and the entire public transportation industry tomorrow, December 15, to collectively fight to #SavePublicTransit with a day of mobilization and engagement.

We are urging Congress to act before it recesses for the holiday season! Our industry is facing a dire financial crisis, and emergency funding has never been more urgent. We are calling on Congress and the Administration to provide at least $32 billion in emergency funding to ensure that public transit agencies can survive and help our communities and nation transport essential workers to their jobs and recover from the economic fallout of the pandemic.

To that end, we urge you to participate tomorrow, December 15, in our #SavePublicTransit day of engagement. We ask each of you to participate and engage in as many ways as you can: share the graphic on social media, contact your elected officials by phone and email, issue a press release, and ask your local partners and local officials to join you. Social graphics, talking points, and a fill-in-the-blank press release can all be found below. Let your voices be heard (and seen)!

Immediate action needs to be taken to address the public transportation industry’s dire financial situation as we serve Americans every day. The public transportation industry’s very survival is at stake.

Let's come together to #SavePublicTransit.
