33 Days to Morning Glory
"Do-it-yourself" Retreat

A Preparation
for Total Consecration
to Jesus through Mary

Consecration date: August 15, 2022
on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Based on Fr. Michael Gaitley, MIC’ s book & DVDs

Reminder:
33 DAYS TO MORNING GLORY- preparation for the consecration to Jesus thru Mary, begins today at 6:30pm, before our daily 7 pm Rosary. All on Zoom.

This will start today Wednesday, July 13, on the day of 3rd apparition of our Lady of Fatima to the children and will end on the Feast of the Assumption of our Lady on August 15.

This is a do-it-yourself retreat, based on Fr Michael Gaitley's book. But instead of doing this self-retreat individually as we have done at the parish in the past, we will have the opportunity to listen to the actual text being read and reflected on by Fr. Adam Potter. The reading from the text are about 10 minutes a day. With the reflections and prayers- it's just half an hour.

We will view Mary and her role in bringing us to Jesus through the eyes of St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Mother Teresa and St. John Paul II

On five Saturdays (beginning this Saturday) , we will have an additional video teaching by Fr Michael Gaitley, the author of the book and the retreat director, right after the daily readings.

Fr Gaitley's presentations are on these 5 Saturdays:
July 16, July 23, July 30, Aug 6 & Aug 13.

On Monday, August 15, on the Feast of the Assumption of our Blessed Mother, is our day of Consecration to Jesus thru Mary.

This will be during parish Mass at 7pm.

Join us!

If you have not yet gone through the preparation for the consecration to Jesus thru Mary, this is a great opportunity, especially at this time when we are in great need of the special protection of Jesus and Mary. And of course for those who have already been consecrated in the past, there is always more in renewing your consecration.

What is a Total Consecration to Jesus thru Mary?

St. Louis de Montfort said that the "surest, easiest, and most perfect means” to becoming a saint is through the Total Consecration.

The basic premise of Total Consecration is simply that Jesus came into the world through Mary and that for us to be truly close to Jesus, it is best to go through Mary.

We will view Mary and her role in bringing us to Jesus through the eyes of St. Louis de Montfort, St. Maximilian Kolbe, St. Mother Teresa and St. John Paul II.

St. Maximilian Kolbe
St. Teresa of Calcutta

What is Marian consecration and why should we do it?
The goal of the Marian Consecration is God.
Mary is our conduit.
The essence of Marian Consecration is to give Mary our YES to use her full motherly power to form us into saints .
