7/8 Spring Sports Information


All students who wish to play Spring Sports must submit PIAA Forms. 

If your child has participated in a Fall or Winter sport in 2018-19, only a Re-certification form is needed.
 
If the Spring season will be the first time your student participates in a sport, a PIAA Comprehensive Initial 
Participation form is required. 
 
(Impact testing is required for all sports except Track)
 
Impact testing will be held on Tuesday 2/12 and Wednesday 2/13 after school in the library from 2:33 - 4:00. Permission slip here. 
           
Until students have handed in completed forms, they may not participate in sports. (Including tryouts)
 
ALL FORMS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE TEMS SITE .
(Also available in the Main Office - See Mrs. Sarvas)
 
Baseball tryouts will be held on the following dates:
8 th Grade - Monday 3/11 - Thursday 3/14
7 th Grade - Monday 3/18 - Thursday 3/21

Grade 8 Conestoga Course Selection

Grade 8 students have begun the Conestoga Course Selection process. Listed below are the remaining important dates and activities.

 *Feb.11-CHS Counselors will   
   visit Gr. 8 and distribute
   the course selection cards.
*Feb. 11 through Feb.20-Gr. 8 teachers will make
  course recommendations on course selection cards.
*Feb.22-completed course selection cards are due back
  to Mrs. Marano.

Mrs. Marano will be available throughout the entire process either by email at maranom@tesd.net or by phone at 610-240-1217.

The TEMS 2019 yearbook is on sale now. There are 2 easy ways to purchase. Order online at www.jostens.com or   
in - school orders can be placed by check (ONLY) with Mrs. Matilla in room 106. Cost is only $27.50 through 2/28/19.  
After that, the price increases, so get your copy today!!
Education Committee to Discuss Scenario for Adjusting TESD School start times on February 14  

One of the goals for the 2018-2019 school year is to assess the impact of potential strategies for addressing adolescent sleep needs, including the implications for school start times.

Visit the web page for the latest updates on the school start time initiative as well as presentation materials, resources and meeting dates when school start times will be discussed. There are links available on the left side of this page for additional details. Please check back often as the page will be updated as new information becomes available. Feedback on school start times may be submitted via email at  starttimes@tesd.net.  

The TEMS Library Could Use Your Old Jigsaw Puzzle Donations!
 
Students have been working on jigsaw puzzles in the library and would appreciate any donations of puzzles, used or new. Thank you!
IMPORTANT Information from the School Nurse:

-Please continue to check your student's head for lice.

-6 th grade Physical exams are due to the Nurse. If you are scheduling an appointment now, please request that Tdap & MCV vaccines be administered as they are required PRIOR to the first day of 7 th grade.

-7 th grade dental exams are due to the Nurse. Please schedule a dental appointment ASAP if necessary.
