Last night, the City Council appointed Tony Ding as the new Mayor of San Gabriel.
This is Mayor Ding's first term as Mayor since becoming Councilmember in April 2020. Mayor Ding has been a resident of San Gabriel for more than 15 years and established his first business in the City 25 years ago. Mayor Ding's priorities include economic development, infrastructure improvement, and increasing governmental transparency for the City of San Gabriel.
The City Council also appointed John Harrington as Vice Mayor of San Gabriel. Vice Mayor Harrington has been on the Council since 2011 and has been actively involved in many community organizations. Vice Mayor Harrington's priority is to enable the community to pursue additional family-oriented companies and increase quality venues aggressively.
