Prospect referrals to GOED are a vital part of the economic development process and a great way to partner together to grow your community. The purpose of the referral guideline is to provide insight into the process that GOED recommends. Following the guideline will help all to be more efficient and may help prevent delays to future projects.

HUBZONES

SBA FEDERAL CERTIFICATION

New areas have been added to the HUBZone map for South Dakota. The areas include the counties of Butte, Clay, Lyman, Brookings, Charles Mix, Clark, and Custer.

The HUBZone program gives small businesses in historically underutilized business zones more access to opportunities to earn contracts with the federal government. This can lead to small business growth and development in undercapitalized communities. This program is administered by SBA.
