WANT TOOLS TO HELP BUILD SUPPORT FOR YOUR BOARD OF HEALTH/HEALTH DEPARTMENT?

The Coalition for Local Public Health (CLPH) is introducing a presentation aimed at helping public health professionals and allies educate municipal and other leaders on the basics of the local public health system in MA, its importance, and the changes needed to strengthen the system. You will hear from CLPH leaders on how to best utilize the presentation slides and there will be an opportunity to ask questions. These workshops will help prepare you to educate others on the importance of local public health in Massachusetts.

We will be providing the same workshop on three dates and times to better accommodate schedules. CEU’ for RN, RS, CHO, and REHS will be available.

Please join us on:

*Please note that the June 29th workshop will be in conjunction with a one-hour program hosted by MAHB. The first hour (starting at 6pm) will be on Vaccine Hesitancy and the second hour (beginning at 7:15pm) will be on the Local Public Health Toolkit.

Next Steps on Investment of Federal Funds in Local Public Health!

We have a phenomenal opportunity for you to show support for local public health, and it will only take one minute of your time! To support the tremendous job done by yourselves and others throughout this pandemic, the Coalition for Local Public Health has drafted an open letter to the Massachusetts State Legislature.

By agreeing to sign on, you are letting Massachusetts Legislators know how important it is to invest in an equitable and efficient local public health system. Underfunded for decades, the time is now to dedicate significant funding to ensure that ALL Massachusetts residents, no matter their zip code, have access to the essential public health protections they deserve.

This investment will benefit us for years to come, and we cannot let this opportunity pass us by! Please encourage your friends and families to sign as well. Let us continue to remind each other of the amazing work public health has already done, and dream of what it could accomplish with proper funding and support.

Please take a minute to sign this letter by next Wednesday, June 23rd: Sign Your Name Here to Support Local Public Health!
