How Can I Make My Cookout Healthy?
|
By Rebecca Henson RD, RPT

Just in time for the warm weather, let's talk about how to cookout the healthy way!
If you think outside of the hamburger and hotdog box, the foods from the grill can be some of the healthier options at a cookout.
You can grill fish, shrimp (just skip the prosciutto wrap), fruit (pineapple and peaches are great), veggie burgers (I like Trader Joe's veggie burgers and Sunshine burgers), chicken breast, turkey breast, or lean meats. Corn on the cob, zucchini and other veggies are great grilled -- consider making veggie skewers with tomato, onion, and peppers.
