Carriage Down Neighbor Receives Good Neighbor Award

Captain Alan Lee presented Carriage Downs resident, Kelly Miller, with the Good Neighbor Award on behalf of the Carriage Downs community.

When Carriage Downs neighbors Matt and Kelly Miller saw suspicious activity taking place in their neighbor's home, they alerted the Concord Police Department. When officers arrived at the scene they discovered that what the Millers had witnessed was an active burglary. Thanks to their call, the officers were able to recover the property that had been taken from her neighbor's home. Additionally, property from burglaries in two other neighborhoods that had taken place earlier that evening was located and returned to their owners. Carriage Downs presented the Millers with the Good Neighbor Award during their February Neighborhood Meeting.

Pet Safety

The weather is getting warmer and curious pets might wander away from home. The best way to keep your furry four-legged friends safe is to keep them on a leash when out on walks or in a supervised fenced-in area during their outdoor time. Ensure that your pets have up-to-date information on their collars and always use a leash when strolling through your neighborhood. If you spot an animal that you think is lost, call Cabarrus County Animal Control 704-920-3288.
