January 2014

Happy New Year!  We are sure at this point, most of you have already set your personal and business resolutions for 2014. As you can imagine and for varying reasons, few people manage to keep their New Year resolutions for long.  Perhaps 2014 will be your year and in this newsletter we discuss the top 5 New Year's Resolutions for business owners.

Top 5 New Year's Resolutions for Business Owners:

  1. Promote your business consistently - whether through social media, print advertising or monthly newsletters.  It doesn't matter what method you use, just make it consistent.
  2. Learn to delegate - consider what you can gain by handing over certain tasks to White Glove Virtual Assistant.  Delegating tasks allows you to focus on growing your business by concentrating more of your energy on the bigger picture.
  3. Better work-life balance - many people are overwhelmed with their workload. The key to better work-life balance is learning to delegate some of the tasks and responsibilities.  Although you may not have the constant workload for a full-time employee, many companies experience peaks and White Glove Virtual Assistant can help you during these times.
  4. Make customer service a priority - follow-up with customers before and after the sale is key to long-term success. Regardless of the type of business you are in...follow-up is paramount to great partnerships.  In 2014, make customer service a priority for your company.
  5. Keep your website current and engaging If you are using social media, then you are driving traffic to your website.  You want to make sure your website is updated and engages your clients or potential clients instantly.

100 Women Who Care Uxbridge

White Glove Virtual Assistant is proud to be a supporter of 100 Women Who Care Uxbridge.  They are a group of 100 women in Uxbridge who care about local community causes and who are committed to community service.  They gather for just one hour every three months and at each meeting jointly select a local charity or not-for-profit organization and write a $100 cheque (per person/team) to the selected organization.  At the inaugural meeting November 25th, 100 Women Who Care Uxbridge raised $8,200 for Sunrise Pregnancy & Family Support Services. The next meeting is February 26th. For more information on this amazing new group, please visit www.100womenuxbridge.com
