Deep Learning in Math requires Deep Thinking

Farmington Public Schools wants students to make meaning of math concepts so they can apply their learning and solve problems. To do this, students must have an opportunity to try out their thinking with their peers. Math games provide our students with this experience in our elementary and middle school classrooms. We use games already in our instructional resources, as well as from our investment in Math Recovery training for our staff.

The game pictured came from a Make N Take Math Game Recovery professional development that staff had an option to attend. Summer learning for teachers means more learning for students!
