Been on the run filming this week, so this Target Walleye is a bit different than the yoozsh. Believe it or not, there’s still places out there where walleyes jump in the boat like bass (lol). Now let's run thru the 5 craziest walleye videos I've EVER come across after years of scouring the interwebz – hope you enjoy!

Legit walleye feeding frenzy! 🌪️
Phil Nadjiwon captured a walleye feeding frenzy at Caribou Falls Lodge, ON that you have gotta see to believe. SHEESH!
Also exactly what everyone says their spot looked like the day before the tournament. 😜

What dreams are made of right there!
Dude is hand feeding walleyes!! 😳
Are you kidding me?! Feeding walleyes by hand?!?! Would for sure want one of those stainless-steel Rapala Fillet Gloves on. 😂 #ChompChomp
I know some fellas who still couldn't catch one there.... 😅

WILD figure-8 walleyes vid.
Still never seen ANYTHING like this before. 😳 Was forwarded the video from Fishing Hall of Famer Perry Good of guys catching walleyes figure-8ing BIG #18 Rapala Original Floaters (7” and 11/16 oz). 🖐 Never have I ever.
Spoiler alert: They don't just catch one....

These guys are lucky I don't have their contact info:

Catching walleyes by hand. 🐻

The guy in this Brackish Water Outdoors video uses some shore-lunch leftovers to lure in – and nab! – a 23” walleye at Booi's Fly-in Lodge on Trout Lake, ON:

My 2¢ on those ^ crazy videos... 👀
Man, watching those Top 5 videos always send my brain for a crazy ride! All I can think about is how freakin’ insane it would be to actually fish those spots...and secondly, how fun it’d be to throw some unusual baits to try and catch ’em...
1) First thing I’d have to try is an Alabamie rig like the YUMbrella Flash Mob Jr. Why? ‘Cuz it’d be the first time anyone has EVER caught five walldawgs in a single cast – can you imagine?!
I finally crossed an Alabama rig walleye ( video) off my fishing bucket list a couple yrs ago.
Which btw we can throw the Alabama rig here in MN (regs), but we can only use 1 hook on the entire get-up...rest of ’em have to be clipped off “dummies.”
> “Looks like some further evidence that color and profile do matter.” 🧐
It’s pretty crazy when you think about it: I had no “bumps” or hits on the rig prior to this wally cracking it...so that means the fish went STRAIGHT for that big 4” Storm Largo Shad (“electric chicken” color) – on a 3/8-oz VMC Sleek Jig – instead of swiping at the smaller, more-natural looking swimbaits surrounding it. Pretty cool.
Oh, and obviously if I’m busting out the beefy bassin’ gear and 17-lb Sufix Advance Fluorocarbon I’m not NOT going to work on my boat-flipping game (lol):
2) Would be straight-up wild [!!] to throw the massive 8” (2-3/4 oz) or even 6” (1-1/5 oz) Berkley PowerBait Cull Shad. I can’t wait to throw one for “green carp” in MN, but I’d definitely settle for a big ol’ razorback – I mean they eat tullibees, so why not?
3) Can’t think of a better time/place to catch a topwater walleye than those vids above. And if I was gonna try and get it done on top, I’m not gonna take the easy way out with a popper (lol). Be insane to throw something like the 108mm 13 Fishing Dual Pitch to force ’em to chase that walk-the-dog action then make it stare back at ‘em with a 180° turn:
Pretty sure I saw this dude throwing one on the Mississippi River last spring:

Here’s 4 spots I’ve been finding walleyes on EVERY local lake I’ve been on recently. A cool thing about these late-summer walleye fishing locations is that fish will still be in them even as we transition into fall. Hope this helps you get out and catch a few more on your local lakes!
Here’s Tom Boley breaking down his “Presentation of the Month” so you can catch more walleyes on your home waters. This time around he’s running spinner rigs on deep hard to soft bottom transitions. 🎯

Does your fishing buddy have your back like this?
> Ricca: “You know what’s pretty cool.... You can go out with zero electronics, just a pole, a simple sit in kayak, a couple baits and you can catch fish! You don’t need to spend a lot of money and have all the fancy things to enjoy the outdoors and catch some great quality fish! Does it help...yes. But you don’t need it. Just pay attention to the water current, the structure that you can see, and so on. Most of all just get out and enjoy what nature has to offer, a nice fish is a bonus!”
No doubt!
