Hello NDFA and NDSA Members,
My name is Paul Harvey and I am honored and excited to start advocating for the dairy industry throughout New York, New Jersey, and New England. Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, I am very familiar with the impact that dairy suppliers and dairy food producers have in local economies. Growing up, my family and I have enjoyed many varieties of ice creams, yogurts, milks, and cheese from Upstate and Central New York as well as Western Massachusetts and Vermont. Even after moving to Southern Maryland in 2016, we still “bootlegged” Byrne Dairy Ice Cream, Whipped Cream, and Mint Milk back to have a little taste of home. After completing my masters degree in Legislative Affairs from the George Washington University in 2019, I am excited to be coming back to Central New York to replant my roots in the area and to learn more about the dairy industry and to address challenges on both the national and state level. I am also excited to get back the the Great New York State Fair to see the annual butter sculpture as well as have a cup or two of chocolate milk !
Sincerely,
Paul Harvey
