Each year, there are 25,000 total students enrolled in Dutchess County colleges and thousands stay upon graduation, including a large population of millennials - a local demographic expected to grow 21 percent by 2025.

MARIST COLLEGE plays a significant role in educating IT and engineering professionals thanks to the school's CLOUD COMPUTING & ANALYTICS CENTER. Partnering with IBM for more than 30 years, the center also provides other companies like  GLOBALFOUNDRIES with an ample pool of highly-skilled recruits. 

The school also hosts the MARIST POLL , which utilizes 300 undergraduates each semester to conduct polls for WSJ, NBC News and HBO Real Sports.

Located in Poughkeepsie,  VASSAR COLLEGE was home to e arly development of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony award-winning Broadway musical, HAMILTON

Last year, Vassar opened the $125 million BRIDGE FOR LABORATORY SCIENCES, which is an 82,000-square-foot integrated science commons for eight of the school's prestigious science departments, including a robotics lab. 
The Culinary Institute of America: Where Food Means Big Business 

Hyde Park's 170-acre CULINARY INSTITUTE OF AMERICA  is where world-renowned chefs like Thomas Keller, Charlie Palmer and "Cake Boss" Duff Goldman cut their teeth. 

Today, CIA students average six job offers upon graduating  and go on to work at top restaurants and food companies, if not starting their own venture. Last year, BROOKLYN BREWERY opened a new educational R&D facility to teach students the art of beer making. P artnership with 3D SYSTEMS also allows students to explore the possibilities of 3-D food printing.
SUNY Dutchess: Providing Tech Skills to Today's Workforce 

Offering the lowest tuition in New York, SUNY DUTCHESS  graduated students ages 18 to 68 this year.  The school's aviation department plans to build an $8 million center at  HUDSON VALLEY REGIONAL AIRPORT

SUNY Dutchess graduates many successful alumni and was the "launch pad" for KAREN SCHROEDER TROVATO , who has become a top innovator in many fields. Her inventions include  algorithms for self-parking cars and medical devices like the electronic pill, in addition to 100 patents worldwide. 
Bard College: Arts and Culture Fit for the Bard Himself

Ranked the nation's fourth most innovative national liberal arts college by US News & World Report, BARD COLLEGE graduates nearly 2,000 alumni each year. 

Known for arts and culture, Bard is home to the Frank Gehry-designed FISHER CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS During the summer, it produces two of the most ambitious and highly anticipated performing arts festivals in the country: SummerScape and the Bard Music Festival. The college is also a top Dutchess County employer, employing 1,800 people.
