Deatherage Again Seeking Bond Reduction In Stinson Murder Trial


In November 2022, Attorney Bill Deatherage besought Judge Natalie White and the Trigg County Circuit Court to strongly consider reducing Landon Stinson’s bond, still set at $2 million following two charges of murder in the 2021 deaths of Trigg Countians Sue Faris and Matthew Blakeley.

Hopkinsville Rotary Kicks Off Inclusive Playground Fundraiser


The Rotary Club of Hopkinsville has made a donation to help start the local fundraising initiative for an inclusive playground. Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman said the $100,000 lead gift to the city, will help start the process for the playground in the area formerly known as Pardue Lane Park.

$7.5 Million Earmarked for Lake Barkley State Park to Fix Infrastructure and ‘Design Flaw’


Kentucky State Parks Commissioner Russ Meyer said, the $7.5 million earmarked for Lake Barkley State Resort Park by the General Assembly earlier this year, will mostly go toward infrastructure improvements and fixing an undisclosed design flaw of the 53-year-old lodge.
