Poll Workers Needed for Election Day
Please sign up to help citizens exercise their right to VOTE.

The number of poll workers in Northern Kentucky is at a critical low, and the availability of poll workers will dictate how many polling locations are available on election day. If a county doesn’t have enough poll workers, it limits the county clerk’s ability to offer numerous voting precincts. Please consider signing up to work the polls this election day.

Click here and select the ‘KY Needs Poll Workers’ tab to sign up!

Visit Volunteer Park
31 Park Road

Volunteer Park was first constructed in 1985 by members of the Fort Wright Volunteer Fire Department and over time the need to replace the aging play structure became necessary for safety purposes. City Council took this opportunity to re-imagine the area to better appeal to a broader range of children and individuals wishing to utilize outdoor spaces and a major renovation was completed in 2022.

Volunteer Park, a small pocket park nestled on approximately one (1) acre of green space that is interwoven in one of our many thriving neighborhoods, is now home to a multifaceted modern play structure geared towards children ages 5 to 12, and a new handicap accessible swing which is situated on a natural looking poured in place rubberized safety surface.

Playing off the history of the property, which at one time was a portion of the Green Line Trolley System, the park features a green steam engine customized for imaginative toddler play. This area also features a Little Free Library and comfortable chairs nearby for reading children books. Other park amenities available are a picnic table, and a small open field for free play. Visitors can also bring their leashed and friendly dog for an outing we just kindly ask that you clean up after your pet by utilizing the newly installed pet waste disposal system. Park hours are dawn to dusk.
