Shabbat Candle Lighting - 6:23 p.m
|
|
On a crisp autumn Sunday morning, 35 Torah High students boarded a bus and headed downtown for our Jewish historical tour of Kensington Market. Led by tour guide, Shaanan Scherer, students had the opportunity to visit the Kiever and Minsk synagogues and other buildings that once housed Jewish life. Fascinating stories of famous immigrants that lived in this once thriving Toronto community were told, and students gained a remarkable understanding of Jewish life in the early 20th century.

The Difference between Success and Happiness
By: Rabbi Benjamin Blech
Here is a quick question I’d like you to think about: How many people do you know who you would consider successful? Follow-up question: how many people do you know who you would consider happy? Are the ones you would list in the first category the same as the ones you would think of including in the second?
