A Record Breaking Total Of $90,000 Raised For Special Olympics Athletes

There were 635 participants that took part in the Guardians Run in support of Special Olympics Ontario, both virtually and in person. With the efforts of the participants and supporters, $90,000 was raised in support of athletes across the province.

Congratulations to Sgt. Mark McGugan - Regional Coordinator (Canada) for the International Law Enforcement Torch Run Executive Council!

As an active volunteer with the LETR in Ontario for over 33 years, Mark is a stalwart volunteer, with a propensity for sport and most certainly a passion for Special Olympics.

November Is Special Olympics Game Month In The Ontario Hockey League, With Support From Torch Run

The OHL and LETR partners are celebrating the return to program for Special Olympics Ontario athletes, and are helping raise awareness.

Special Olympics games are including a ceremonial puck drop with local Special Olympics athletes and a local member of the LETR.
