2023 World Games Berlin!

The 2023 World Games in Berlin Germany have concluded, and the Ontario LETR were well represented by D/Sgt Jay Bouwkamp of the Peel Regional Police Service. Jay had the following to say about his experience: 

"It was a true honour to escort the Flame of Hope on behalf of LETR Ontario and Canada for the Special Olympics World Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany."

Law Enforcement officers accompanied by athletes, representing approximately 20 countries around the globe, escorted the Flame 40 plus kilometres throughout communities surrounding Berlin. The community support was electric! 

Our journey culminated with attending the opening ceremonies at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. 

Congratulations to all of the athletes. You inspire us daily!

Cops N Rodders Car Show

Our biggest vehicle show of the year is back again at beautiful Bayfront Park in Hamilton on October 13th.

The Cops N Rodders Car Show is an 'open category' vehicle show ​in Hamilton Ontario Canada hosted by the "Law Enforcement Torch Run Committee" which is comprised of Hamilton Police Service members. All proceeds from this car show goes to Special Olympics Ontario.

2023 LETR International Conference

Applicants for funded positions for the 2023 International Conference in Chicago, Illinois on October 28-30, 2023, have been selected and notified.

If you were NOT selected and wish to attend at either your expense, or your agency's expense, you MUST be registered with the Ontario delegation. Please use this link to register and fill out all highlighted areas. All registrations and accommodations will be taken care of by OLETR and you will be invoiced afterwards. Travel expenses will be your responsibility. Details of the associated costs are:

Registration: $465 US - approx. $625 Can

Accommodations: $250 US per night based on Double Occupancy - approx. $340 Can = $170 Can per person per night
