By-Election to fill Temporary Executive Member Opening

The Elections Committee and Elections Officer, Sean Graney, are calling for a By-Elections under By-Law 4.2 to fill a temporary vacancy on the Executive. The Local has been notified that the First Vice-President will be continuing on sick leave into the new year. This means that Sarah Boomhower will continue in her role as interim First Vice-President and Jeishan Rajakulasingam will continue as interim Second Vice-President. This leaves Jeishan's Executive Member position being open on the Executive for more than three months. The Constitution requires this position to be filled under By-Law 4.2.

A Nomination Form can be completed by any member who would be interested in service on the Executive from December 1, 2022 until at least February 2023 (with possibility of extension depending on the length of the First Vice President's sick leave).

4:00PM on Monday, November 28, 2022

At the same time, candidates may also submit a one page pdf profile to identify their experience, knowledge and skills.

For this temporary opening, the voting is conducted by the Executive by secret ballot under By-Law 4.2 d) v). The results of the vote will be announced to the membership on December 1, 2022.

NOTICE: By-Elections for Executive Member Vacancy

The Election Committee would also like to notify members that Executive Member Sujatha Chintakunta has accepted a full-time job and she has submitted her resignation for the position of Executive Member for the remainder of the 2022-2023 year. This vacancy must be filled through a by-election with a vote of the membership at the February Winter General Meeting on February 23, 2023. Nomination Forms for this position will be distributed to the membership at the Winter Break.

The Elections Committee is already hard at work preparing for the Executive Elections for 2023-2024 and the Delegate to ETFO Annual Meeting elections.
