Live Tutoring, Homework Help, and Skill Building

Meet the Author: Joel Engel author of L.A.'s '56: A Devil in the City of Angels - Joel Engel traces the story of a former police officer who is wrongly accused in racially tense 1956 Los Angeles.  Joel Engel is the author or co-author of more than fifteen books.  He is a former journalist for The New York Times and Los Angeles Times, among others.

Century of ServiceIn 2013, the Torrance Public Library will celebrate a Century of Service to the community!  In 1913, Isabel Henderson became the first Librarian in the newly founded City of Torrance, lending books from her living room.  Today, six facilities check out over 1.4 million items per year.  Look for programs, events, and promotions throughout 2013 celebrating our Century of Service!
