Renters and landlords across the County, including Torrance residents, can apply for the LA County Emergency Rent Relief Program. Tenants can apply directly and landlords can continue submitting applications as before.
The program offers emergency financial assistance to those who've faced emergency-related financial hardship. Eligible applicants may receive a maximum of $15,000 per unit for up to 6 months of rental or mortgage relief.
Applications open on Monday, February 9 at 9 a.m. and will close by Wednesday, March 11, 4:59 p.m.

Construction work on Del Amo Blvd. and Madrona Ave. that was previously scheduled for this weekend has been postponed. Lane closures on Del Amo Blvd. will instead take place next weekend, beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, through 6 a.m. on Monday, February 16. During this workshop, attendees will learn about:
- Fair housing laws, including disability accommodations, protections for voucher holders, and families with children
- The California Tenant Protection Act (rent increases and evictions)
- Eviction resources, updates on new housing laws, and more
