Tournament News: Teams Excel on the Fall Circuit

Eight U13-U17 teams coached by Total Futbol competed in a slew of tournaments from October through December. By the end of the Fall Season, there were seven Champions, one Finalist, and six Semi-Finalists.

Collectively, these TF teams played in 59 tournament matches, posting 38 wins, 15 losses and six draws, scoring 114 goals (1.9 average per game) and allowing just 52 (0.88 average per game) against some of the toughest competition on the Eastern seaboard.
League News: Eight Teams Finish Near the Top of the Table

These eight successful teams played in 66 total league games (50 wins, 7 losses, 9 draws), scoring 239 goals (3.6 average per game) and conceding just 58 (0.88 average per game).

Herndon United 99 and Vienna Thunder Black 98 (shown at right) both finished as Semi-Finalists in their respective age groups (U16 and U17).

Meet TF's Dustin Cowen
Dustin grew up playing soccer in Germany for SV Landstuhl and 1.FC Kaiserslautern. He attended Broad Run High School after moving to the U.S. and has worked  with Total Futbol since 2013.

What drew him to coaching? One day a few years ago he helped TF's Todd Hamlin run a Herndon United practice. At the end, multiple players shook his hand and said, "Thanks, Coach."  After that, "I was fully hooked and never looked back."
