Granite State Woodturners

New starting time... February 22—9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Granite State Woodturners Feburary 22, 2020 at the Merrimack Public Library, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.   Please note delayed start time of 9:30. We should plan on wrapping up at 12:30 as the library closes at 1pm. 

Tom Mikulis will introduce methods of close-up photography for woodturners. He will show us several lighting systems, macro lenses, filters and many of the fine details needed to expertly showcase your turnings, large and small.  

There will be coffee and donuts and possibly wood for sale to support the GSWT scholorship fund.  

Please bring chairs and what else? Cash!

Grant Program

Peter Maynard was awarded "Best in Wood Furniture" at the annual League of NH Craftsmen Show—one of two awards the Guild sponsors each summer at the fair. Here is a glimpse of Peter's current projects in the shop.

The Catlin Server Console Table in quarter sawn oak won the Best in Wood Furniture award at the Art, Craft and Design exhibition at the 87th annual League of NH Craftsmen Fair, the oldest and largest craft show in the country.

Guild Branded Merchandise

The Guild has sold guild branded shirts and hats at cost to the membership for many years.

You can order from the online store or contact Bob Wyatt at merchandise@gnhw.org. He may be able to bring an item to a mutual meeting.

Small Meetings

These meetings are generally held in small shops or other environments which require limiting the number of attendees. They can fill up fast although cancellations do occur. Wait listing is available when registrations reach the limit set.

More small meetings are always being added, so check the coming events below.

Membership Cards

Membership card lists are generated quarterly for new or renewed memberships from the previous quarter. Batch dates are...

  • January 1
  • April 1
  • July 1
  • October 1

You can expect delivery approximately two weeks after your batch date. Cards are personalized and sent directly to you from our supplier in MN.

Renew early! However, when you do renew your membership, an email is sent which acts as your temporary certificate of membership until your card arrives.

Cards are used for member discounts at participating suppliers.
