September 8 -  No RE
All Congregation Service

Childcare for babies and toddlers will be available in the Nursery
(upstairs in the Parish House).

RE classes will resume on September 15:

  • The Nursery is open 9:55-11:05am.
  • Children in grades Pre-K through 8th grade will begin in the Meeting House with their families on 9/15, and will then be sung out to classes.
  • The Grade 9-12 Youth Group will have it's Kick off Party on 9/15 from 6-7:30pm in the Youth Room.

We ask that all families regularly participating in
Nursery Care, RE Classes, and Youth Group
fill out the 2019-20 Registration Forms.
Forms will be made available at the RE table
during Coffee Hour starting on 9/8.

Join the Youth Choir!

in the K-1 Classroom (upstairs) 

Our Youth Choir is lucky enough to led by Scott Wheatley-- a professional musician with an exceptional ability to connect with his audience! Assistant director, Arne Gronningsater, will help Scott to channel raucous enthusiasm into beautiful music. Any young person is welcome to join. Newcomer Coffee
September 8 | 11:30am
in the Youth Room (upstairs)  
(Typically the first Sunday every month.)

Join Rev. Christina and members of the Membership Team after service for coffee and conversation. This is a great way to meet other newcomers, and to learn more about what makes this church unique. Grab a cup of coffee from Coffee Hour in the Parish Hall, and join us upstairs in the Youth Room. Hope to see you there!
International Musician

Frist Parish Music Director, Scott Wheatley, traveled to London & Wales this week with a colleague from the Music Department at USM. They p resented at a Women in Music c onference at Bangor University in Wales, on an obscure French woman who had to assume a man’s name to get her music played!!! Welcome home, Scott!

And, many thanks to all of you who have responded to the survey indicating your availability to help support our hosts! We are in the midst of matching needs with volunteer availability.

Breathing and Meditation Class
Wednesdays | 8-9am- New Time!

Come and explore breathing techniques to nurture your mind, body and spirit. Pranayama is an ancient practice from India used to heal dis-ease, prepare for meditation, and access spiritual realms. All are welcome to join in these powerful tools of transformation. Taught by Rev. Christina. Free to First Parish Members; $10.00 non-members.
First Parish Choir Rehearsals
Thursdays, beginning September 12 | 7pm | Meeting House
Choir rehearsal is typically held in the Parish Hall

We welcome international opera stars, beginners and everyone in between, ages 14 to 104. Enthusiasm and the ability to carry a tune are the only requirements.
