Richard A. _Rick_ Vincent addresses the graduates of the Class of 2018
On Saturday, May 12, 2018, 178 Heritage College student doctors received their DO degrees and became the newest alumni of the Heritage College. This year's commencement included 48 graduates from the inaugural class of Heritage College, Dublin. With the increased number of graduates (along with family and friends), commencement was moved from Memorial Auditorium to the Convocation Center. The weekend began on Friday afternoon with an Awards Ceremony (check out our Facebook post for photos). On Saturday, Commencement speaker, Richard A. 'Rick' Vincent, chief executive emeritus of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundations,  reminded graduates to "remember why you started the journey in the first place."

Our heartfelt congratulations extend to all our graduates as they begin their residency programs. We are sure you'll make Ohio University, Heritage College and the osteopathic medical profession quite proud!

ohio osteopathic symposium: another success
OOS18 Branding - Igniting a Movement in Primary CareThe Ohio Osteopathic Symposium convened at the Hilton at Easton in Columbus April 25-29, 2018. Co-sponsored by Heritage College and the Ohio Osteopathic Association, attendees participated in many workshops and lectures to gain Continuing Medical Education credits, along with knowledge about topics of interest to their practice. 

Highlights of the event included keynote speaker Andrew Morris-Singer, MD of Primary Care Progress; J.O. Watson lecture on fatty liver disease by Dr. Sonia Najjar; Wonder Woman Jen Hauler, DO ('01) being inducted as incoming president of the Ohio Osteopathic Association; greetings from American Osteopathic Association president Mark Baker, DO; and an outstanding series of research poster presentations from students and residents. Ralph P. Crew, DO ('81) received the Special Board of Governors Award for Ophthalmology from the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology at the organization's annual convention.

1990s
Terry A. Johnson, DO ('91) was presented with the Ohio Osteopathic As sociation's Distinguished Service Award.

John F. Ramey, DO ('92) was named the Ohio ACOFP Family Physician of the Year and presented with a Trillium Award from Heritage College Executive Dean, Ken Johnson, DO.
